Notice on Measures Taken at Courts to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19

Supreme Court of Japan > About the Supreme Court > Topics > Notice on Measures Taken at Courts to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19

When you visit court, please take basic infection control measures, such as wearing a facemask and washing or sanitizing your hands. If you feel unwell, we request that you refrain from visiting court (if you are unable to appear at court on a date for proceedings due to feeling unwell, please inform the division in charge at the court of your case).

In order to ensure the safety of court visitors, each court will continue to implement infection control measures (e.g., ensuring that all people in court wear a facemask) in line with the circumstances of the local area.

The General Secretariat of the Supreme Court has developed a policy for implementing infection control measures at court, based on knowledge gained from experts in public health and other relevant fields, and disseminated it to all courts across the country.
