On March 25, 2015, Mr. Scott Evans, President and Chair of the Board of Directors of INTA (International Trademark Association), and his group visited the IP High Court. INTA is a global association of trademark owners and professionals dedicated to supporting trademarks and related intellectual property in order to protect consumers and to promote fair and effective commerce.

Chief Judge Ryuichi Shitara gave a general explanation to the group regarding the situation of litigations related to trademark infringements and litigations seeking rescission of JPO decisions on trademark rights in Japan, as well as a brief introduction of recent trademark cases decided by the IP High Court. Mr. Scott Evans in return explained the international role of INTA and the situation of its recent activities.
