On July 1, 2015, Mr. James R. Sobieraj, Chairman of the Licensing Executives Society International (“LESI”) and two members visited the IP High Court. The LESI is an international organization comprising licensing associations from 90 countries and 32 regions.

Chief Judge Ryuichi Shitara and a judge of the IP High Court explained the scope of the exclusive jurisdiction of the IP High Court, type of cases heard by the court and other related matters to Chairman Mr. Sobieraj. In addition, Chairman Mr. Sobieraj expounded in detail on the contents of recent U.S. decisions relating to licensing agreements and the contents of LESI’s general activities and other matters.
