On September 3, 2019, Mr. Bernhard Schröder from the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection visited the IP High Court.
Chief Judge Makiko Takabe explained an outline of the IP High Court to Mr. Schröder, with a focus on the court's efforts for international communication and dissemination of information, and exchanged views with him on the interchange between Japanese and German judges and internationalization of IP-related lawsuits. Mr. Schröder toured the court's building and received an explanation from a judicial research official about the roles of judicial research officials in IP-related litigation.
