Visit by JICA/WIPO Trainees (July 8)
On July 8, 2019, four JICA/WIPO trainees at the Graduate School of Intellectual Property, Osaka Institute of Technology, visited the IP High Court.
After observing a case in the courtroom, the trainees received explanations from Judge Takuya Ueda and Judge Masaru Yamakado with regard to a wide range of topics including the outline of the case, an outline of the IP High Court, the proceedings of IP-related litigation, active use of expert knowledge, and information dissemination via the court's website. The trainees then actively participated in a question and answer session. The trainees also received explanations from a judicial research official about the roles of judicial research officials in IP-related litigation.
