On April 19, 2019, IP High Court Chief Judge Makiko Takabe visited the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and exchanged opinions with Judge Denny Chin. The Second Circuit Court of Appeals does not deal with patent cases but deals with a number of cases involving other types of intellectual property rights. Chief Judge Takabe discussed various issues with Judge Chin, including infringement of trademark or copyright and unfair competition.
