On May 13, 2019, a delegation of 23 members from the Office of the Judiciary of the Court of Justice of the Kingdom of Thailand, including Deputy Secretary-General Pob Ekaraphanich, visited the IP High Court during their survey on court management and administration.
This survey is focused on the development in Japan's Justice System Reform and is being carried out by a team consisting of not only officials of Court of Justice but also those of Ministry of Finance, State Audit Office and other Thai government entities.
From the IP High Court, Chief Judge Makiko Takabe provided explanations about the IP litigation system in Japan, mainly using expert knowledge of judicial research officials and technical advisors. Chief Judge Takabe and Judge Yasuhiko Kobayashi provided answers to questions from the guests on a wide range of topics, including how to increase the number of judges with expertise in various fields.
