On February 4, 2020, 13 trainees in the JPO/IPR Training Course for Trial and Appeal System for ASEAN (a judge and government officials from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam) visited the IP High Court.
After touring the courtroom, the trainees visited the office of judicial research officials and received an explanation on the judicial research official system. They also received an explanation on the outline of the IP High Court and IP litigation in Japan from Judge TAKAHASHI Aya of the Third Division of the IP High Court. Afterward, they actively asked questions to Judge Takahashi regarding issues related to the design system and differences in IP judicial systems between Japan and their countries.
