Lecture for Indonesian Judges (February 6, at the Red-Brick Building of the Ministry of Justice)

On February 6, 2020, Judge KOKUBU Takafumi of the IP High Court provided a lecture on copyright law in the 13th Training Program in Japan for the Knowledge Co-Creation Program with Indonesia for IP Litigation conducted by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Research and Training Institute of the Ministry of Justice. JICA carries out the Project on Intellectual Property Rights Protection and Legal Consistency for Improving the Business Environment in Indonesia with the cooperation of the Research and Training Institute, and Judge Kokubu is a member of this project's Advisory Group for Assisting Courts of this project. The 13th training program focused on copyright law as the main topic and aimed at enhancing the trainees' knowledge required to serve as lecturers on copyright law in training programs for Indonesian judges. Fifteen judges including Mr. Bambang Hery Mulyono, the Head of Judicial Trainers, the Judicial Training Centre, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia, participated in the program.
Judge Kokubu provided a lecture titled "Consideration of major court precedents and decisions on copyright-related cases in Japan," following which he and the trainees exchanged views and opinions actively, making the program constructive and meaningful.
