Visit by Clerk of Civil Affairs Division of Supreme Court of Indonesia and Others
On July 21, 2016, a total of 21 people from the Supreme Court of Indonesia and the Directorate General of Legislation and the Directorate General of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Justice and Human Right Affairs, including the Clerk of the Civil Affairs Division of the Supreme Court, Rahmi Mulyati, visited the IP High Court as part of the first training in Japan provided by the Ministry of Justice under the Indonesian Legislative Support Project implemented by JICA. After paying a courtesy call to Chief Judge Shitara of the IP High Court, the visitors were given explanation of the background of the establishment and the structure of the IP High Court, judicial research officials system, and the characteristics and actual situation of IP litigations, from judges of the IP High Court. Then they engaged in an active Q&A session on the average time intervals from commencement to disposition of IP litigations in Japan and legal practices such as provisional remedies and compulsory execution. The visitors also toured the Office of Judicial Research Officials, and had a Q&A session with the judicial research officials.
