Meeting with English Solicitors
On April 14, 2015 in London, England, Chief Judge Ryuichi Shitara of the Intellectual Property High Court met and exchanged opinions with English solicitors from Intellectual Property Lawyers Association and others, all of whom have an extensive experience in patent litigation.
Stephen Bennett, Sarah Turner, Arty Rajendra, Edward Nodder, Alan Johnson, James Boon and Andrew Bowler each provided detailed explanations in response to Chief Judge Shitara’s questions concerning matters such as evidence collection procedures, procedures used in patent litigations in order to assist judges understand the technology in issue, and methodology used for the determination of inventiveness regarding defence of invalidation.
