Visit by Indonesian Training Program Participants
On June 3, 2016, participants in the Indonesian Project for Protection of Intellectual Property Rights and Enhancement of Legal Consistency to Improve Business Environments (14 participants including Intellectual Property Director General Ramli) visited the IP High Court. This visit was a part of a training program aimed at learning about the Japanese legal systems and experiences to develop the legal and operational systems for the protection of intellectual property.
The visitors were given an explanation on the outline of the IP High Court from the Fourth Division Presiding Judge Makiko Takabe, and an explanation on court cases concerning three-dimensional trademark from the Third Division Judge Masaki Sugiura. Thereafter, they were engaged in an active question-and-answer session on a wide range of concerns.
