On June 24, 2014, Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva from the High Court of Delhi, India, visited the IP High Court.

Chief Judge Ryuichi Shitara of the IP High court provided a brief overview of the IP litigation systems and IP cases in Japan, together with how the defense of invalidity of patents is handled in patent infringement cases. In addition, Judge Shigeru Osuga explained trademark litigation in Japan. In response, Justice Sachdeva explained how courts in India deal with claims of invalidity of patents and consider similarity of trademarks. The meeting was very informative for both sides.
