On April 24, 2006, the delegation of the German Chamber of Patent Attorneys visited the IP High Court. The delegation came to Japan to attend a meeting hosted by the Japan Patent Attorneys Association (JPAA), which was held with the aim to promote the development of intellectual property systems as well as patent attorney systems in Japan and Germany.

The delegation consisted of 47 members, including President Jurgen Schade of the German Patent and Trademark Office. After observing hearings in the courtroom and touring the court, they actively exchanged opinions with judges of the IP High Court on various issues, including recent judgments handed down by the court, career development of judges dealing with IP cases, and the type of evidence submitted in IP litigation.
