Delegation of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) Visits the IP High Court
On April 22, 2010, a delegation of the AIPLA visited the IP High Court and engaged in a meeting with the judges thereof to exchange views. Judges of the IP High Court gave presentations entitled "Recent Judgments on Trademarks by the IP High Court" and "The Dual-Track System in Japan", while representatives of the AIPLA gave presentations entitled "Recent Patent Related Judgments in the USA with a Focus on the Ariad Judgment" and "Recent Decisions on Damages by the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit". The delegation and the judges subsequently engaged in lively discussion and a Q&A session lasting about two hours. The meeting was very informative for both sides.
