Visit by Vietnam IP Leadership Training Program Participants to the IP High Court

On August 22, 2013, the 11 participants in the Vietnam IP Leadership Training Program visited the IP High Court, led by the Director General of the National Office of Intellectual Property (NOIP) of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam. Through this visit, the participants intended to learn about the measures taken by the Japanese government entities engaged in combating infringement of IP rights, with the objective of observing Japan’s example to create a future vision for their country and optimize collaboration between the various Vietnamese entities involved in combating IP rights infringement.

The visitors observed court proceedings, listened to an explanation by judges from the Fourth Division of the IP High Court on IP litigation in Japan, and engaged in an active question-and-answer session. After these activities, the participants toured the court building.
