Judge KIKUCHI Eri of the IP High Court participated in the 147th Annual Meeting of the International Trademark Association (INTA), which was held in San Diego, California, USA, from May 17 to 21, 2025. INTA is a global organization made up of brand owners and professionals. More than 10,000 people attended this year’s annual meeting.
Judge Kikuchi participated as a speaker in a panel discussion titled “All Rise: News from INTA’s IP Court.” During this session, Judge Kikuchi, as well as judges from the U.S., Turkey, India, and China, presented recent cases of interest concerning legal issues such as trademarks and copyrights. In addition to reporting on recent cases in Japan concerning foreign service marks and trademark infringement, Judge Kikuchi also responded to questions.
