Delegation from the Supreme People's Court of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam visits the Intellectual Property High Court (April 17)

  • As part of the Vietnam legal and judicial development training program conducted in Japan by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Ministry of Justice Research and Training Institute, a delegation of 10 justices from the Supreme People's Court of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam led by Justice Dao Thi Minh Thuy visited the Intellectual Property High Court on April 17, 2025.
    The delegation first paid a courtesy call to Chief Judge HONDA Tomonari, after which they had a tour of courtrooms and other facilities at the Business Court complex. Following the tour, they attended a lecture that gave an overview of the Intellectual Property High Court. In an opinion sharing session, they engaged in an active discussion with Chief Judge HONDA Tomonari, Judge MIZUNO Masanori, Judge ITO Kiyotaka, and Judge AMANO Kenji about the characteristics and current state of judicial proceedings, the roles of judicial research officials and technical advisors, as well as litigation trends and future challenges, among other topics.
