WCO training program participants visit the Intellectual Property High Court (May 12)

  • Nineteen customs officials from 17 countries participating in a training program conducted by the World Customs Organization visited the Intellectual Property High Court on May 12, 2025.
    First, a senior court clerk gave a description of the courtroom to the visitors. After that, Judge IMAI Hiroaki provided insights into the types of courts in Japan, the types and characteristics of intellectual property-related lawsuits, and an overview of the Intellectual Property High Court. Then, the participants had a lively question and answer session with the judge and the senior court clerk about intellectual property litigation in Japan and other topics.
