On July 8, 2022, three persons from the Korea Patent Attorneys Association (KPAA), including President Jang-Won HONG, and two persons from the Japan Patent Attorneys Association (JPAA), including President SUGIMURA Junko, visited the IP High Court.

　A discussion session was held between President HONG and Chief Judge OTAKA Ichiro and other officials from the IP High Court. They exchanged opinions regarding the intellectual property litigation systems in both countries.

　President HONG talked about the patent attorney system in Korea and other topics. The delegation from KPAA actively asked questions to the officials of the IP High Court on a wide range of topics about the situation in Japan, including the overview and actual status of the patent attorney system, the roles of patent attorneys, the evidence collection procedure in court proceedings, and the latest trends concerning patent infringement lawsuits.
