• 　On March 3, 2023, Mr. Klaus Grabinsk, the President of the Court of Appeal of the Unified Patent Court (UPC), Mr. Maximilian Haedicke, a judge affiliated with the central division of the UPC, and four lawyers from Germany and the Netherlands visited the IP High Court, together with Japanese lawyers and university professors.
  　After touring the courtrooms of the Business Court, President Grabinsk provided an explanation on the significance and the latest status of the UPC, and then President Grabinsk and Judge Haedicke gave answers to questions from the judges of the IP High Court and other participants with regard to topics concerning the patent system and patent litigation in Europe, including the relationship between the former framework and the new framework after the establishment of the UPC, and the future prospects.
