• 　On May 22, 2023, 15 judges from the Republic of Indonesia, including Dr. Rudi Suparmono, Chief Judge and Commercial Court Judge of the Surabaya District Court, visited the IP High Court, as part of the 15th training program under legal technical assistance to Indonesia conducted by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Research and Training Institute of the Ministry of Justice of Japan.
  　After paying a courtesy call on Chief Judge OTAKA Ichiro, the guests toured the courtrooms of the Business Court, and exchanged opinions with judges of the Second Division of the IP High Court regarding topics such as proceedings at the IP High Court and protection of trade secrets in IP litigation. After that, Presiding Judge KOKUBU Takafumi of the 29th Civil Division of the Tokyo District Court, Judge KATSUMATA Kumiko of the IP High Court, and Judicial Research Official AKITA Masayuki gave lectures respectively on practice of civil provisional relief and civil enforcement procedures in IP cases, calculation of amount of damages, and work of the IP judicial research officials. During each lecture, the guests actively asked the speakers questions.
