• On December 8, 2023, 14 trainees in the JPO/IPR Training Course for Trial and Appeal System for ASEAN (practitioners who engage or will engage in the practice of trials and appeals relating to intellectual property rights, from Brazil, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam) visited the IP High Court. After touring the court building, the trainees received an explanation from Judge AMANO Kenji of the IP High Court on the roles and current status of the IP High Court. They also received an explanation from Mr. ICHIKAWA Atsushi, a judicial research official of the IP High Court, on intellectual property right cases and the roles of judicial research officials in these cases. Afterward, they actively asked Judge Amano and Mr. Ichikawa questions regarding topics such as IP litigation in Japan.
