Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court of Vietnam visited the Supreme Court of Japan

On November 15, the Honorable Nguyen Hoa Binh, Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court of Vietnam and other members of the delegation from Vietnam paid a courtesy call on Chief Justice TOKURA Saburo. He made welcome remarks at the beginning of the meeting, for the first visit by Chief Justice Binh in 4 years and 8 months since his last visit to Japan in March, 2019.
Chief Justice Binh introduced the progress, with the legal technical assistance provided by Japan, on the use of conciliation procedure and the preparation of law reports at the courts in Vietnam. Chief Justice TOKURA responded that exchanges with the judiciary of Vietnam should be further developed, touching on the lively discussion with Vietnamese judges, when he visited several places in Vietnam in October, 2018.
